4. Application Guidelines

1. Ensure tile joints are clean, dry, and free of dust or adhesive residues.
2. Add grout to clean water and mix to a lump-free consistency.
3. Let the mixture rest for 2-3 minutes and re-mix before use.
4. Apply grout using a rubber float, pressing firmly into joints.
5. After 10-15 minutes, clean surface with a damp sponge in a circular motion.
6. Polish tiles with a dry cloth once the grout is set.

2. Scope of Work

  • This method statement covers the procedure for the preparation and application
    of cementitious tile grout in internal and external wall and floor tiling works.

3. Tools and Equipment

• Rubber grout float
• Clean mixing bucket
• Drill with mixing paddle

4. Surface Preparation

- Ensure that tile adhesive is fully cured before grouting.

- Clean tile joints to remove dust, dirt, and loose particles.

- Joints must be dry and free from water or contaminants.

5. Mixing Instructions 

- Pour clean water into a mixing bucket

- Slowly add tile grout while mixing with a paddle mixer. -

Mix for 3-5 minutes until a uniform, lump-free paste is achieved.

- Allow the mix to rest for 2-3 minutes
and then remix briefly before application.

6. Application Procedure

- Apply the grout using a rubber float, spreading diagonally across joints.

- Press the grout firmly into the joints to ensure full filling.

- Remove excess grout from the tile surface using the float.

- Allow grout to set slightly (approx. 10-15 minutes), then wipe the tiles with a damp sponge.
- After initial curing, clean the tile surface with a dry cloth to remove any grout haze
